National Geographic Photographer Steve McCurry's 'missing Afghan refugee girl' found after seventeen years searching, since  first he photographed her when she was about fourteen years old.

My painting is an interpretation of how she might have looked at twenty-years-old.

When I first saw Sharbat's photograph by Steve McCurry, I couldn't resist painting her portrait. Those amazing green eyes!  A favourite of mine - parting with this painting was difficult.
